Automatic Launch and Download

One advantage of the Chatterbox product is that it automatically downloads and launches much like a java applet or activex control. To intall and launch the product, insert the following link in your web page:

The following name value pairs are allowable
  • [REQUIRED] server= Enter the name or ip address of the chat server.

  • [REQUIRED] room= Enter the name of the room

  • [OPTIONAL] profile= Enter the name of the template room (This will dynamically create a room based upon PROFILE with the name of ROOM.

  • [OPTIONAL] alias= Enter the alias for the user. Note if this name/value is not present the user will be prompted for an alias

  • [OPTIONAL] aliaslen= Enter the max length for the alias. The default length is 15 characters.
